Tenafly Library Friends
The New Jersey Library Construction Bond Act was approved by New Jersey voters on November 7, 2017. This is a landmark construction program, making $125 million dollars available for public library construction and renovation.
In order to apply for this grant money, our community must raise 1/2 of the required funds. We need your help because without your individual donations to enhance funds that have already been raised, we can't even apply for a grant. We hope to raise an additional $100,000 through donations to the Friends of the Library.
Our renovation plans include

Expanded Children's Room with enhanced space for programs and after school study.

Optimized space utilization plan with more room for group and quite study.

Improved shelving for easier accessibility to books and media.

Updated flexible meeting room for lectures, performances and workshops.

Your annual $10 household membership fee and donation helps the library provide programs and services such as:

Join the Tenafly Library Friends
Whether helping sort donation books for our book sale, representing the Friends at Community Functions, or organizing and hosting our Sunday afternoon concert series, volunteers help with tasks large and small.

All Friends members are welcome to attend our monthly meetings which are usually held on Monday evenings at 7 pm. Check the library's event calendar for the next meeting date.

Volunteer
Pick up some free books and start reading! We've placed a Little Free Library at the bus stop on the corner of Piermont and Hillside, across from the Tenafly Classic Diner. Visitors are encouraged to take a book as they pass by!
